Michael Tschoepe, M.D. is an experienced Ophthalmologist who specializes in Refractive surgeries as well as Cataract surgeries. His training encompasses a comprehensive array of laser and ultrasound surgeries and diseases of the eye. He tirelessly works to provide a superior level of care and to practice the safest and newest medical techniques available for the benefit of his patients.
Dr. Tschoepe has maintained a successful private practice for over 28 years and over that period time he has performed thousands of LASIK, PRK, Epi-LASEK, Cataract and Refractive lens exchange procedures. He currently uses the most modern, state of the art means of performing these wonderful procedures in the safest way possible.  Dr. Tschoepe is trained to perform laser refractive surgery on four different laser platforms and numerous keratomes and has performed procedures in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Austin and Midland  .He has provided surgical expertise for Laser Network patients in Midland since 2000.
He graduated in the top five of his class at the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio in 1976 and then completed his residency and internship in San Antonio. Dr Tschoepe is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Texas Ophthalmologic Association, Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has served as President of the Comal County Medical Society and as Chief of Staff at McKenna Memorial Hospital. He is currently affiliated with Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels, Laser Network in Midland, The East Loop Surgery Center in Odessa and Vista Surgery Center in Midland.
